Walton County residents can purchase a County Resident Annual Parking Permit at a cost of $5.00 per year per vehicle.
Daily parking fees for vehicles without a permit cost $5.00 per day in winter season (November-February) for residents. Daily parking without a permit during peak season (March-October) costs $5.00 per hour or a full day rate of $15.00.

A resident of Walton County is someone who either owns residential property or rents or leases a residence within the County for a minimum of a six-month timeframe. This includes single-family homes, condominiums, apartments or lots within mobile home or recreational vehicle parks.

Non-Walton County residents can purchase a Non-Resident Annual Parking Permit for $205.00 per year or a Non-Resident Weekly Parking Permit for $90.00 per week.
Daily non-resident parking without a permit costs $5.00 per day during winter season (November-February). Peak season (March-October) costs $5.00 per hour or a full day rate of $15.00.

Resident applicants will need to upload a valid Driver's License, current voter's registration card, or a homestead exemption card to verify residency.
In addition, a current vehicle registration for each vehicle being added is required. Please note that a separate application must be submitted for each vehicle that you would like to register.

Yes, permits are limited to two vehicles per household address.

To receive emails about your application status, make sure to verify your email address when creating an account. Individuals who register with Parklync will receive updates about their application status through the email address provided during registration. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email. Since the Parklync program uses license plates to verify registration, participants will not receive a sticker, placard, or physical item by mail, nor will they need to pick up anything in person.

Yes. Permits are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. This applies to both resident and non-resident parking permits. Online applications via www.parkwaltonco.org make the process quick and easy, provided you have the right documentation.

There is no deadline to register for a Walton County Resident parking permit, and registrations will continue throughout the year.

Signage located throughout the parking lots provides directions on how to pay. Payment can be made via cell phone using a QR code or text. Payments can also be made via kiosks located in the parking lots. Further assistance is available by calling 850-797-8783 or by visiting www.parkwaltonco.org.

Convenience fees include $0.45 per payment for daily parking as well as a one-time annual fee of $3.50 per parking permit. State and County taxes also apply.

Citations will be issued for parking without making a payment.
Fines include a non-payment citation of $40.00 plus the daily parking fee due if paid within 30 days of receipt. A non-payment citation of $80.00 plus the daily parking fee is incurred if paid 30+ days after receipt of citation.
In addition, an online parking citation fee of $3.50 is incurred when a citation is issued. State and County taxes also apply

Lots are operational from 5:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m./midnight seven days a week, with the exception of closures provided by the County in writing.

No. Parking in the County’s Municipal Parking Lots between the hours of 12:00 a.m./midnight - 5:00 a.m., which falls outside of normal operating hours, carries a fine of $500.00 if paid within 30 days of receipt of citation. If not paid within 30 days of receipt of citation, the fine increases to $750.00. In addition, an online parking citation fee of $3.50 is incurred when a citation is issued. State and County taxes also apply.
